Become a MLAS worksite

CLIENT ARRIVES AT MLAS OFFICE brings paperwork from court/probation/collections. Pays fee $25-$200 for adults depending on hours needed to complete / $25.00 juveniles. Client signed an agreement to follow mlas rules, which include: cooperate at work site, show up when expected, work a minimum of 8 hours per week, follow work site rules, etc. Client is assigned a work site that fits their location and schedule

ABOUT 2 WEEKS is allowed for client to contact worksite, be interviewed and set up a schedule for working. The Worksite (Your Organization) has the option to accept or reject the clients that are sent to you.  Let us know if they do not work out.

CLIENT WILL ARRIVE WITH TOP PART OF TIMESHEET (FULL TIMESHEET WILL BE FAXED OR E-MAILED TO WORKSITE)

You will hang on to timesheet and record client’s hours of work. When client has completed their hours, make a copy for your records for future verification and give the timesheet back to client. Remind client that it needs to be back to MLAS by 4pm on the date listed. It is Clients responsibility to return timesheet to the MLAS office. Timesheets can be Faxed, Mailed or put in Drop Box just outside MLAS office door if office is closed.

CLIENT WILL NOT BE COVERED BY OUR INSURANCE. THEY MUST RETURN TO US FOR AN EXTENSION AND AN ADDITIONAL FEE WILL BE ASSESSED. MLAS HAS TWO OFFICES (LAKE CO. AND MENDOCINO CO.) The Client’s File is housed in the county in which they got in trouble. Clients can sign up in either county, whichever is convenient to their home. Clients can do their hours in either county as well. However, their PAPERWORK STAYS IN THE ORIGINAL OFFICE. MLAS WILL REPORT THEIR PROGRESS AND YOUR COMMENTS TO THE APPROPRIATE AGENCY.
